20KA/30KA/40KA/60KA Surge Protector XZ1-SPD40/60 Product overview
20KA/30KA/40KA/60KA Surge Protector XZ1-SPD40/60 is usually installed at the inlet low-voltage main distribution cabinet for the protection of third and fourth level power supply equipment. It is often used in power distribution equipment such as terminal box, large equipment control box, front- end cabinet UPS of important equipment, camera and so on, which are vulnerable to lightning. In the industrial and civilian construction of distribution box, computer center, telecommunications room, elevator control room, cable TV room, fire center, villas, residential distribution box, etc.
The SPD has a built-in disconnector. When the SPD fails due to overheating or breakdown, the disconnector can automatically disconnect it from the power grid and give an indication signal. The visual window displays green when SPD is working normally, and red when it disengages.
The protection device shall be installed at the end of the upline (immediately connected to the downline of the pull-in wire) required to protect the customer's equipment, connecting the outer lead (L) or neutral lead (N) to the grounding device of the customer's equipment. It is installed at the junction of LPZOB/LPZ1 and LPZ2 with 35mm standard guide rail and 2.5-35mm copper multi- stranded wire.
Each front pole of SPD surge protector must be connected in series with XZSCB series surge backup protector or fuse.
20KA/30KA/40KA/60KA Surge Protector XZ1-SPD40/60 is suitable for low-voltage AC power distribution 50/60Hz, 230/400V and below IT, TT, TN-C, TN-S, TN-C-S and other power supply systems can be connected in parallel on the power line for equal potential when lightning strikes. Mainly used to protect low-voltage customer electrical installations from surges caused by atmospheric discharge (e.g. to indirect lightning) or other operating instantaneous overvoltages. As a single voltage limiting device. Products in line with GB1 8802.1, GB50057 and IEC/EN61643- 11 standards.

20KA/30KA/40KA/60KA Surge Protector XZ1-SPD40/60 Overall dimensions
A surge protector with ratings of 20KA, 30KA, 40KA, and 60KA refers to the surge current capacity of the device. KA stands for kiloamperes, which measures the maximum surge current that the surge protector can handle before it fails or becomes ineffective.
For example, a surge protector with a 20KA rating can handle a surge current of up to 20,000 amperes, while a 60KA surge protector can handle a surge current of up to 60,000 amperes.
The higher the KA rating, the more powerful the surge protector is at handling larger surges of electricity. This makes them suitable for protecting sensitive electronic equipment, such as computers, televisions, and other devices, from damage caused by power surges.
When choosing a surge protector, it's important to consider the specific electrical requirements of the equipment being protected and select a surge protector with a KA rating that can adequately handle potential surges in the electrical system.
