What is a tripper for circuit breakers? How is the principle?
Tripper is an accessory for remotely operated tripping. When the power supply voltage is equal to any voltage between 70%-110% of the rated control power supply voltage, the circuit breaker can be reliably opened. The trip unit is a short-time working system, and the coil energization time generally cannot exceed 1S, otherwise the coil will be blown. In order to prevent the coil from burning out, the molded case circuit breaker connects a micro switch in series with the Tripper. When the Tripper is closed by the armature, the micro switch is switched from the closed state to the open state. Because the control circuit of the shunt Tripper power supply is blocked. Cut off, even if the button is pressed artificially, the coil is always no longer energized to avoid the occurrence of coil burnout. When the circuit breaker is closed again, the microswitch returns to the closed position.
1. Classification of Tripper
There are five types of circuit breaker Trippers on the market:
1). Thermal magnetic Tripper
2). Electromagnetic Tripper
3). Loss of pressure Tripper
4).Shunt Tripper
5). Electronic Tripper
2. The working principle of the Tripper
At present, the boundary division of high, medium and low voltage is not very strict. I don’t know how many KV circuit breakers you are talking about. Our company’s highest is 12KV, but it is considered medium voltage on my side. The market of high-voltage circuit breakers is relatively shrinking. The main application of its Tripper principle is the electromagnetic Tripper mechanism. Of course, there are many kinds of Trippers, instantaneous Tripper, short-circuit fault protection, and a Thermal magnetic Tripper, generally overload protection, there are many, undervoltage Tripper, overvoltage Tripper, these two are set to act according to the voltage conditions, action beyond the undervoltage range, exceed the overvoltage range action.
